“Halszka” - first part Today I finished reading “Kato-tata” by anonymous author under the pseudonym Halszka Opfer. When I was renting it I was very skeptical because the title sounded daub, but I am “fan” of books about mental illnesses and controversial issues so I’ve decided to do it. Now, after reading it I’m shocked and I have many questions and reflections about the topic. Book tells a story of a child raised in the pathological family where rape, sexual abuse and violence are on the agenda. It’s an autobiography, written very easy and without a morals or literature values. Just dry facts. This book made me think about many different aspects but now I’ll tell only about one issue- why people are so indifferent to the suffering of others? How they can be so apathetic? Woman who wrote this story tells about many situations when somebody finds out about the problems of her family but nobody does anything to stop it. They just avoid the fact and accept it or not, b...
